I have 2 "vulnerable" add ons that my browser keeps blocking. Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.100.18 and Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.296. Java Deployment Toolkit gives me no option to update. Shockwave Flash has a link next to it titled "Update Now". When I click it, it brings me to the Plugin Check and Updates page where it does not list either the Java or Shockwave updates. According to this page I am up to date.

Around the same time these add-ons started being blocked, I started having major problems with my Facebook pictures and icons loading. It's not a problem with Facebook as it works just fine on my phone so I suspect it has something to do with these vulnerable add-ons. Either way I want to fix the plug in issues. It's been weeks and it's driving me crazy. Please help!!! Thank you!!!

Hi Ophilia535,

for flash : try to uninstall with the next official uninstaller from Adobe : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html#main_Download_the_Adobe_Flash_Player_uninstaller

and then download the latest from the next link : https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

for Java Deployment Toolkit : it is useless, only needed by Java developers, regular users no needed to have it activate(also used by Java applets and applications to help manage getting the right version of Java for a user’s system), you can disable it without worries.

Go to the home web site of those programs and get the full installer.
