We are unable to add a corporate Microsoft 365 mailbox to Thunderbird. During OAuth sign-in, Microsoft shows “Need admin approval” and Entra logs: AADSTS90094: Admin consent is required for the permissions requested by this application. We have confirmed: - Thunderbird App ID: 9e5f94bc-e8a4-4e73-b8be-63364c29d753 - User assignment is not required - The tenant allows microsoft-user-default-allow-consent-apps - Thunderbird is included in that policy - No exclusion rule is configured - Conditional Access and sign-in risk are not causing the failure - A clean Thunderbird reinstall/profile still gives the same error Existing Thunderbird users still work, but some newly configured users cannot complete OAuth consent. Has anyone seen this recently, or is there a known Thunderbird/Microsoft 365 OAuth issue affecting new account setup?
Pretty explanatory...Red 'Delete' button on Account Settings page does nothing.

I disconnected a Google Workspace account - Calendar and mail - from a former workplace. As far as I can tell, it's been deleted from Thunderbird.
However, I'll still get dialog boxes and an occasional browser popup asking me to reauthorise it.
How do I get rid of it once and for all?

The issue is that the text I type into the top level of account settings, which has Account Name, and Default Identity, doesn't save. Initially I entered the email address and Thunderbird found the correct details, but I was creating seven new accounts and was going to come back later and fill in the details. However, the details on this page don't stick, wand it reverts to blank entries (as shown in the attached image), and each account's name defaults to the email address. It's awkward because if I create a new message it won't add a signature because that gets cleared with the other details on this page.
This might be related to an earlier question I asked Delete Account button doesn't work. since it's on the same page as the DELETE button. This suggests to me that there's a script engine that I'm missing on my PC. This is only a guess. I use Fire Fox as my main browser, and Vivaldi as a backup. As I say, this is only a guess.

Installed Thunderbird in August 26. Successfully added Outlook and Gmail accounts (send and receive)
On a roll I then tried to migrate from Plusnet to Greenby. Can successfully receive emails via IMAP.plus.net server. But could not send mails from Greenby (other accounts still OK)
Traced problem via forum query 31???? to inability to create a new SMTP server for outbound mail. After entering all data in the outbound server there is no response whatsoever to clicking add button (ie no error messages or servers added to SMTP list)
Then tried to delete the partially active Greenby account via clicking delete button in account setting window. No response. Account still present.
Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this before I try the doomsday action of deleting and reinstalling Thunderbird.

I have 5 email addresses on my Thunderbird set up. I want to change the order in which they appear so that the addresses I use most frequently appear at the top. I have tried drag and drop and that does not work and I cannot find a relevant article searching on Support. Any ideas please?

Used old method to setup email accounts and it worked fine. New UI will jam the user name and host name and host name together for new email account setup. In UI for: Username It will have the full user and host together eg. test1@test.com Then during account setup after you enter password, I can see it on the bottom of the UI panel, so like this... test1@test.com@test.com When you go back it will put in the Username field, test1@test.com even when you deleted the host test.com from it. Also the host field screws up. It will put a period in front of the host name eg. .test.com So you have to delete the period.

I created a new email account but during the setup the account got added with incomplete login details.I am trying to delete this account so I can recreate the same, but it cannot be deleted. I tried running as administrator as suggested on google but this also did not succeed. Now I realize that the new account which I was trying to create has merged with my default account and corrupted this account as well. Now I am unable to delete both these accounts.

Hello, I have a problem with Mozilla Thunderbird. After adding a new email account, it works correctly, but after closing and restarting Thunderbird, the account disappears completely.
In the Thunderbird profile folder, there is no standard prefs.js file. Instead, I have multiple files such as prefs-1.js, prefs-2.js, prefs-3.js, etc.
I use Windows 11 with McAfee. I found information suggesting that this issue may occur when security software prevents Thunderbird from correctly saving or updating prefs.js. I have now completely disabled McAfee.
Could you please advise me how to safely restore the correct prefs.js file and make Thunderbird save the account configuration properly?

After many succesful years using Thunderbird suddenly the update 5.18.0 (64-bit and reporting as supposedly up to date) ) has completely lost all my folders and screwed up my email accounts!! I've been having an absolutely ghastly time for weeks trying to make sense of it and just feel like junking it...HELP! My email accounts that have been working successfully without problem for many years now sometimes send and not receive or the other way round, not send but receive. Additionally I cannot access critical and important emails (serious medical, legal and personal). I tried to change the staus of the accounts from POP to IMAP and ...lo and behold, the program does not allow it!?!? Why the hell not?
I am concidering buying your vpn but i dont want it to cancel my paid for life account with firefox. would it?
