Autofill on Input Type "search" doesn't work anymore in version 82

Since Firefox version 82, the possibility of autofill username on some specific input fields (<input type="search">) doesn't work anymore (while <input type="text"> still works). In office I often have to check a customer's website where the login form contains a input field of type "search" for the username. It allways worked fine for me to use the saved username and password, automaticly filled in on both of the text fields (of course, the password field is of type "password"). I checked Firefox version 81, where "search" input fields still worked for autofill, so version 82 must have been updated on this topic, but I can't understand why (perhaps there is a good reason to inactivate this input type for autofill)..

Seit Firefox Version 82 funktioniert das "Automatische Ausfüllen" von Benutzernamen bei bestimmten Textfeldern (<input type="search">) nicht mehr (während es bei <input type="text"> weiterhin funktioniert). Geschäftlich muss ich mich ab und an bei einer Kunden-Website einloggen, welche (leider) den Benutzernamen für das Login mit genanntem Textfeld-Typ "search" programmiert hat. Bis und mit in Version 81 funktionierte es einwandfrei, den Benutzernamen (ich habe dort mehrere Logins gespeichert) per Dropdown auszuwählen (bei einem gespeicherten Login wäre es einfach automatisch ausgefüllt). Auf einem wenig genutzen Computer, der noch Firefox Version 81 installiert hatte, habe ich es getestet (dort ging es noch). Sobald ich auf Version 82 aktualisiert habe, ging es nicht mehr. Mich würde sehr interessieren, ob dies ein (unbeabsichtigter) Fehler war (dann bitte mit nächster Version beheben), oder ob es einen guten Grund gibt, diesen spezifischen Textfeld-Typ nicht mehr für das Automatische Ausfüllen von gespeicherten Login-Daten zuzulassen.
