Everytime I open firefox 70.0 it asks me to login into my firefox account, how can I get it to stay logged in??

I have tried to use custom history settings solution where you go to the preference page, onto the privacy and security tab, and then changing my history settings to custom settings and then clicking the "clear firefox history when it closes" and then also only turning cache and form & search history on to be cleared when closed.

Sorry to hear about this; it sound like you may be having a similar problem to what is being reported in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1272397, could you please try the debugging steps suggested there and let us know whether they help?

Firefox stores the credentials for the Firefox Account in the Password Manager under chrome://FirefoxAccounts, so if you need to login again again each time you start Firefox then the Firefox Password Manager isn't working properly.

Are you using a master password ?

Is the Password Manager working properly ?

The Lockwise Password Manager doesn't show this chrome://FirefoxAccounts entry used for accessing the Sync Account, so you won't find it in Lockwise and you would have to check this directly in logins.json in the profile folder.
