How do I completely disable updates, I get the stupid damn update popup in my browser once an hour, more sometimes, even after updating the next day it's back again, like herpes, it's annoying, after hearing how the last update completely broke most of the worlds browsers I won't be updating until that **** is fixed, I don't care about your security, I don't care about mine, I have AV, AM, firewalls, I don't care if this breaks websites, I just don't care why, I just want to use the browser, I don't care how, changing code, something to COMPLETELY DISABLE UPDATES.

There has to be a way.

If not this is possibly the worst browser to ever exist in all the history of the universe from now until eternity.

I know how you feel. I am still using v54.

How do you completely turn off update checks in Firefox v64? You can use a policies.json file to disable updates for all users. https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/master/README.md

I tried that, didn't stop them, I've followed the steps multiple times, I resorted to just turning off the stupid pop-up and now I am calmer.
