No API For Tab Focus / Tab Mix Plus
Hello --
The Select Tab on Hover feature of TMP or Tab Focus add-on is vital to me for accessibility reasons; at the same time, I don't want to switch browsers for performance and security reasons.
How likely is it that this will be revived in one form or another? Is Mozilla unwilling to provide an API for it?

I'm sorry but posting on this site won't help since we are just users like you. You'd have to join the discussions with developers (on Bugzilla, the IRC chatrooms etc.) to try to convince them to make the changes you want.

Contact the developer and ask him to send you the links to the appropriate bug reports for you to follow them: http://tabmixplus.org/support/troubleshooting/data/legacy-tabmix.html
