dropdown box starting position

i've noticed the dropdown is different for both chrome and FF in regards if the options have long text. the box automatically aligns left for chrome while FF is dynamically centered.

here's the fiddle to show my point, try this in both browser to see the difference:

Maybe it's my settings. My Options left align with the Select control and run off the right side of the screen.
