How can I upgrade from FFOS 1.2 to 1.3 on ZTE Open (USA)?

The upgrade process from FFOS 1.2 to 1.3 changed from the previous ones (1.0 to 1.1 and 1.1 to 1.2). ZTE instead of making it easier on the Open, made it more convoluted and beyond my skills. 1.2 does not work well with my provider (no EDGE communication) and I know there is a 1.3 version around; hopefully it will work better. Is it possible to get instruction that do not make me install the FFOS simulator on my computer or open a 'panel' and such technicalities? I willing to support FFOS but I sense it is still too far from consumer use. Am I wrong?

Firefox OS 1.3 hasn't been released yet. There are ways you can download a pre-release build, but they leave you at risk of breaking your phone.

Hi, the version 1.2 or 1.3 has not been releasing ZTE yet. Updates are reported and automatically performed by OTA in your phone. For unreleased versions, the upgrade process is more complex for to be versions developing.

To upgrade easier you need to wait which the company release the update your phone
