no access to mail server
the user as well as password are the same but the mail server cannot be logged in. the log in stays pending for long time. Please help.

Maybe Thunderbird is not able to access the internet. Maybe Thunderbird updated and the Firewall thinks it is a different program.
Exit Thunderbird. Access Firewall which might be controlled by the Anti-virus software. Is thunderbird program set up as an allowed program ?
If no then add it as an allowed program. If yes, already allowed, then block/remove it, ok it, then access Firewall again and set up as allowed and ok it.
Confirm the Firewall has Thunderbird as an allowed program.
It is possible you are being blocked by the server. In which case this is not a Thunderbird problem. I notice you posted another issue only 3 days ago, but you do not mention what you did to resolve it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1386491

Did you complete the information at that link ? Did contact your e-mail provider to ask for assistance ?
I used spamhaus to run a check on IP address.
Have you tried resetting the IP address of your computer ?
