The tab bar takes a generous portion of my already small screen. I would really like to permanently hide the tab bar and simply use the tab menu. Is there any way to do this?

Hi

The menu bar at the top of the screen should fade out as you browse down a page. You can change this setting in Settings, General and toggle Full-screen browsing.
