This is a new computer, just got it in May. (But same thing happened on my old Pc too.) I looked at the other thread and the fix about useragent, but my list of useragents doesn't contain any of those it says to reset. I have: general.useragent.site_specific_overrides;false general.useragent.compatMode.firefox;false dom.push.userAgentID;b648f0965c57455fbfd9c98db7cd2629 devtools.responsive.reloadConditions.userAgent;false devtools.inspector.showUserAgentStyles;false

Why does Twitter hate Firefox?

Soluzione scelta

Maybe an extension (Privacy Guardian) is causing this issue.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Your Firefox reports itself as version 61 to this site, so Twitter can't complain about that. Do you know whether the Privacy Guardian extension might be modifying how your browser is identified to Twitter? Is there a convenient way to test how Twitter works with that extension disabled (either just for Twitter or in general)?

Ok, turned off the Privacy Guardian for Firefox and that got it to open the normal Twitter. Didn't think that would affect showing Twitter the version of Firefox. Thanks for the help!
