will there ever be a firefox os phone in USA?
Heard the news that mozilla is discontinuing firefox os. Earlier I heard that there will be a firefox os phone in USA during 2016. Is that proposal now dead?

Assuming no firefox os phone in USA, what are your opinions about other alternative phones like ubuntu, sailfish os, tizen, webos, blackberry, etc? Are there any future there. I prefer no Android, Apple, or Microsoft.

Not likely now considering Mozilla is stopping development on Firefox OS.

But then you have this http://firefoxoscentral.com/2015/12/firefox-os-is-dead-firefox-os-is-alive/ saying something different "we will stop offering Firefox OS smartphones through carrier channels" which may mean the Firefox OS being used on say some Panasonic Tv's are fine.
