Cannot get new emails. My address field shows a padlock. Why?
New emails are not being received. When I click on "get new messages for..", my address shows a padlock on it.

The padlock simply means an account that uses a secure connection, which is the norm with googlemail, outlook.com, yahoo and so on.
Has it ever worked? When did it stop working?
I suggest you go to Help, select Troubleshooting Information, clear the checkbox labelled "include account names", click on "copy text to clipboard" and paste into your reply here.
