Point 1. There is no help desk with live agents for free software. Point 2. There is no version of Thunderbird that runs on smart phones so I fail to see how this is a Thunderbird problem. If you want to receive email on multiple devices you need IMAP email service and have the client software setup as IMAP on all devices. Did your helpless desk agents at Charter or Verizon mention that?
