A tag of random letters (PK) is attached at the end of every email I send out. How did it get there and how do I get rid of it?

Dear ___,

The tag below appears on every email I send out--- "PK" means nothing to me, and I don't know how it got there.

My first thought is: have you set up a signature? Thunderbird will add your signature to each outbound message. This is on a form where you might easily type a couple characters inadvertently. More info in this article: Signatures.

Was that it?

Wow! That was it. I started by re-doing my email signature. But the Word document I used must have been corrupted. So I just went to my account settings and un-checked the signature box, then started a New Message. No more "PK" tag---whatever that was. Thank you!
