updating wordpress web page post gets General failure in Firefox, works in explorer
I am trying to up date post pages on my word press web site "www.thehighlandsteaparty.com and it keeps dropping out telling me the server was reset while loading. I am having no problem with this same procedure using Internet Explorer. I prefer Firefox! I get the following error:
General 0 at http;//thehighlandsteaparty.com/wp-admin/admin-Ajax.php?actionproxy_ATD8url=1 it then blows the program away and I have to restart Firefox, I have tried this several times in the past two hours and yesterday. I finally tried it with Explorer (which I hate) and it worked just fine?
I already did the firefox trouble shooting and did a reset of the program, No help. Cleared the cache, no change This is a word press web page I update daily, started having this issue yesterday 9/26. Issue appears to only happen when I try to create and post a new posting. Where does the error appear: in the page, or in a pop-up message, or in a Firefox error console? I'm surprised at the severity, that you need to restart Firefox. Do you need to restart to use any site, or to get back into your Wordpress admin area?
Did you update WordPress or any of the plugins in the past few days? You could check their support pages and see whether the updates have created any known problems with Firefox.
Also, if you switch from the Visual editor to the HTML editor before saving the post, does that make any difference?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
