I need to save my bookmarks, passwords etc while i de-install then re-install Firefox as it appears to have become corrupted by AVG and won't let me use my own choice of search-engine and defaults to AVG search, even when set to Yahoo.

Thank you very much for that Cor-El - as it goes i had found the back up files by accident (they are in Help > Troubleshooting info > (Application Basics) > Open containing folder) and backed them up on a memory stick but didn't know how to get them back into my freshly re-installed Firefox.

Had literally loads of bookmarks stored, some i use often, others rarely but all are needed so you've been a fantastic help, thanks again!
