I want to upgrade to Firefox4 but will I loose my bookmarks and adons?

Dear Sir/Madam,

If I update to Firefox4 will I lose all my bookmarks and ad-on's as I've experienced in past updates? If so how can I back-up my bookmarks and ad-on's?

When you upgrade Firefox will use your existing user profile, so you will still have your bookmarks, passwords and other user data. It will check your add-ons to see if they are compatible. If it finds any that are not compatible it will offer to check for updates to them. If no updates are found, the add-ons which are not compatible will be disabled.

Though it does not show every add-on, the following link may help in showing which of your add-ons will work in Firefox 4. It shows the maximum version of Firefox that an add-on will work with, so if it shows either 4.0 or 4.2a1pre it will work in Firefox 4

As a safety, you can always backup your bookmarks and restore them if needed, though my profile was kept during my update(s) to firefox 4.0.

Bookmarks-->organize bookmarks-->import and backup-->backup

I just lost all the bookmarks....while uninstall of earlier FF4 Beta 8
