I updated firefox and lost my bookmarks. Yesterday, I added some "new" bookmarks. I troubleshooted today and was able to restore my "old" bookmarks. How to I combine the two? I added like 10 bookmarks yesterday and they are saved in a JSON file and I would like them in my "old " bookmarks.

As you have discovered, restoring form a JSON file replaces the current bookmarks, but if you import from an HTML file it will add to the current bookmarks. You can export your current bookmarks to an HTML file, then restore the JSON file with the 10 bookmarks. Next import the HTML file containing your original bookmarks that you exported.

You can also copy those 10 bookmarks to the clipboard via a select all and a copy, paste them back after you have restored the JSON backup.
