I did a refresh in Firefox Developer version, it backed up its profile, but refreshed my both Firefox versions. So, I lost my Firefox profile.

Moving folders manually as the help articles says made Firefox stop working.

After several tries, the way to solve it was:

  1. Uninstall Firefox Developer version.
  2. Erase "Old Firefox" folder, there is not the backup you need there anyway.
  3. Open Firefox, go to about:profiles and change the default profile to the one without "dev" in the name.
  4. Restart Firefox (the button "open this profile in a new browser" won't work)
  • Extra step: return to about:profiles and delete the dev profile.
