Updates disabaled by admin
I am getting the message "updates are disabled by the admin." I am the only one here so I don't know how that happened. I need to install Slack but need to update first. I followed the steps to edit registry but still can't update. Please advise.

Has this anything to do with Fx ? Is this https://slack.com/intl/en-gb/ and it has a problem with your version of FX ? Is this your own computer or one from your business, as if it is then the business may be the admin.
If this is Win OS did you install it ans set up your account as non-admin etc. ?

I noticed you tagged this with Firefox 128. Is it possible that you have installed the Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) version by mistake? Go to the Μenu > Help > About Firefox. Does it say 'ESR' next to the version number?
If you are on ESR and didn't intend to be, downloading the standard version from www.mozilla.org might solve the issue.
Which OS are you using? e.g., Windows 10/11 Home or Pro
Where exactly is the message appearing? Windows Update settings, Microsoft Store, or your Browser?
Registry which specific keys did you modify?
Do you have any work or school account?
Are you using any 3rd-party antivirus/security software?
I am using Windows 11 Pro. I do not see ESR. According to what I Googled directions did not match exactly what I saw on my laptop. Attached are the instructions I followed. It's only an issue on my laptop not my desktop.
