I don't know if I changed a setting by accident but if someone sends me a JPG or PDF now when I double click on the attachment to open it and view it doesn't use my viewer to open it up. Instead i get a screen asking me where I want to save the file.

I don't know why I can't just view pictures anymore it's really annoying.

Preferences/General/Files & Attachments, set the Action for each content type to open with your preferred app.
