I want to delete a dictionary

cor-el replied

My browser defaults to French and so everything I write in English (my working language) is underlined. I then have to go to menu and change it. EVERY TIME! I've gone to the dictionary add on page but I don't see anything for deleting languages just adding new ones on. Also, I would like to know if there is a page where I can see the dictionaries I have. I've gone to account and profile settings and collections but I don't see anything on those pages -or anywhere else that has to do with the dictionaries already installed.

hello AlbinK, your installed dictionaries should be listed in the addons manager. you can go to them directly by typing about:addons?dictionary into the address bar.

Your System Details List shows two dictionaries: Italian and Spanish

  1. Dizionario italiano 3.3.2
  2. Spanish (Venezuela) spell check dictionary 1.1.17

So I'm not sure where French would come from as you seem to be using an en-US Firefox version.

You can check the order of the installed languages.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Content > Languages

Are you located in a French speaking country?
