Firefox "Not Responding" every few minutes, but resumes for a while and repeats again

Every few minutes ( maybe even 60 sec. or when I open a new Tab/Website/Image etc...), Firefox will hang up. If I try to keep typing I'll get a "not responding" message and will have to wait until it goes away to continue. This happens consistently when going through my e-mail, but it happens at other sights, whenever I have to type an entry. I have tried disabling all my add-ons and it still happens. I have deleted Firefox and reloaded it and the problem still occurs. I am using Windows 7, 64 bit, and my computer is more than adequate to use Firefox. (i7-2600k, 8GB RAM, Corasir Force 3 SSD)
