Hi, for this old MacOS version, we provide updates only in 115 ESR channel, and you have the latest version 115.29, released October 14, 2025.

You have to update this OS first to be able to use Firefox 144.

No, how do I update this OS first? According to my bank, I need Mozilla Firefox 128 and higher?

In order to run Firefox 116 or later including Fx 144 you need to update your macOS to 10.15 (ten.fifteen) or later,

You appear to be running the eol macOS 10.13 and Firefox 115 ESR is the most current version you can run on mac OS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-macos-1012-1013-1014-moving-to-extended-support

One option is to set Firefox to fake your Firefox version number. This might fool some sites. Here's how:

  1. In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
  2. In the search box in the page, type or paste forceVersion and pause while the list is filtered
  3. Double-click the network.http.useragent.forceVersion preference to display an editing field, and change the value to 128 or 140 then press Enter/Return or click the blue check mark button to save the change.

I have the same issue. I am running windows 11 OS, but Firefox only sees window 7 and will not let me update to version 128 and higher. If FF cannot correct this then I will have to stop using Firefox browser all together.

This is not the same issue. Please create a new question about it.

I am unable to update any further version on my old computer. I will need a new computer.

If you cannot update your macOS to 10.15 or later then in the meantime you can try to fool the bank site into thinking you have a more current version like Firefox 128 or later. Chase and Citi is looking for Firefox 128.0 and later.

As was posted earlier in this thread.
