browser set up and Youtube issues...suspect update
!. link to youtube only flashes then plays only audio. Full video requires opening link in a new private browser window
2. Typing into search bar for Duck Duck Go in new tab page types directly into active bar...
3. Active bar is no longer at the top but is in Bookmarks toolbar...

Hi,
Regarding 1: Please follow the steps below and provide us with more information to troubleshoot your issue.
- Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield
icon at the left of the address bar.
- If ETP is enabled, try disabling it. Does the problem persist?
- If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache. Does it help?
- If it does not help, also try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website). Does it help?
- If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. Does the problem persist?
Regarding 2 & 3: Could you please explain what exact bars you are referring to? Also, it's better to ask a new question for that (as it's clearly a different issue). For reference, see Mozilla Support rules and guidelines.
Looking forward to your update!
First...the reason I put all these issues in the same question is because they have all only recently manifested....I thought perhaps an update was known to be causing multiple problems in multiple areas.
As for the "active bar" I mean the "address bar", the one with the shield icon. It has always been at the top of the screen. Now it is to the right of the bookmarks toolbar...left of "Account" "Extensions" and "Open applications menu".
Additionally...question 2...when I open a new tab, the main body of the screen....(below bookmark toolbar) has the Firefox icon above the Duck Duck Go "Search the web" bar. Typing into that bar, the text appears in the address bar.
I will try the suggested YUoutube fixes.
Thanks for your help
Thank you for the explanations! I got it now.
Regarding 2, that behavior is intended.
Regarding 3... Could you please post a screenshot? Your explanations sound clear, but the issue seems quite unusual.
