Facebook is appearing in a foreign language. The URL is <update+piipozez@facebookmail.com>, the language appears to be Korean or some Southeast Asian. How do I get it in English, and be assured that the web page is safe? n

Given. Somehow the Facebook account converted to this foreign language that is completely unfamiliar to me, and for reasons unknown to me. I want to be assured that it is not some security risk, and I want the account to appear in English.

Hi, cor-el. I tried your suggestions without success. Maybe I need to unsubscribe my account, but the foreign language is posing a problem with that option.

Do you still see the regular English Facebook url in the location bar?

Do you see a link at the bottom of the login page with the ellipsis (…) to open the language dialog via an AJAX call?

Check the connection settings.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection > Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

See "Firefox connection settings":
