Why can't I turn OFF automatically updating the Firefox when I restart? I have NOT updated to the newest version by choice, because of the lack of compatibility with add-ons and features on my pc. But when I restart it ALWAYS automatically updates to the newest version even after choosing NOT to update earlier or last session.

And there are no way to set it back to earlier versions..I tried and lost all my tabs and date in my browser at work, which are less important than at home.

I want the older version back that was compatible and I want to choose when to update not have it forced upon me when restarting the computer.. VERY annoying and inconvenient .. half my programs now does not run, thanks to this newest update. WHY?? HOw can I fix it. How to fix it?

Options>Advanced>Update> Automatically check for updates - Uncheck any/all of the three options.

Or, select "When updates to Firefox are found :

° Ask me . . ."

I have selected that option. I don't have anything set to update automatic on my pc.

It does still not help..
