Spell checker hard to use on Facebook

Spell check does not check as I type in Facebook dialog boxes. I have to right click and turn off spell check and then right click and turn on spell check. This only happens on Facebook.

Every time Firefox opened

I'm having the same problem, but I'm on a Mac (system 10.5.8) I'm using Firefox 3.6.3
