kenneth frink

I am trying to set up Thunderbird. There are questions I don't understand pertaining to such phrases as IPOP and whether I am using a server or not . I am using Linux mint.

I'll try to assist a bit. An IMAP account is one that reads and writes online to the server. This is ideal if you also like to access the account from another computer or from your phone. A POP account is good if you want to preserve all messages on your hard drive and do not need to access from phone or other computer. If you share the domain name of your email account (the portion to the right of the @ sign), I wiil try to help you determine server, other info, etc. thank you
