https broken on my (& only me, not other ppl) FF ver v35, v29, v3.6.28. reinstall does NOT fix. Any ideas?

Replying to my own question: 5 months later, https started working again WITHOUT having done anything - no reinstalls, no upgrades, no cache clears. Nothing. FF is kinder to my 2GB RAM PC than Chrome, so it is nice to have FF working again. A working HTTPS is essential for many sites these days.
