When will problem of picking up Firefox email contacts be resolved?
Opaite Mbohovái (8)
Is it a reported problem? Problems that developers are not aware of will never be resolved.
So I understand having spoken to BT help line - not everyome affected apparently.
Hi
What seems to be the problem? How can we help?

Firefox is a web browser and not a email client. So I take it this is with a webmail site in Firefox and since you mention BT https://www.bt.com/help/email/bt-email-login ?
sorry not to advise earlier but I can use BT Mail via Microsoft Edge picking up my existing contacts but via Firefox I get: "Invalid mail address, must have a domain part"
The BT helpline advised me that this is a known Firefox problem for some of their customers. How do I contact Firefox?
Regards, RH
Hi,
Could you please describe the exact steps you perform? We are aware of several issues with BT Mail, but I don't think yours is there.
It would also be great if you report this on WebCompat, our dedicated place for such kind of issues. When reporting, please include as many details as possible. Feel free to share a link to your report here, so that we can follow along.
Not sure what I can add. In Firefox I write an email then in the "To" area or "Cc" or "Bcc" type in e.g. "Roger" which then gives me possible matches from my contacts, I select "rogerh47@btinternet.com". The "To" area then shows "Roger x" in a red boarded box. When I press "Send" i get the message "<Roger> Invalid mail address, must have a domain part".
However when I do this exercise using Microsoft Edge after selecting "rogerh47@btinternet.com". The "To" area then shows "rogerh47@btinternet.com". When I press "Send" the message goes. This tells me that my contacts are sound and it is Firefox that is at fault.
As I commented the BT helpline advised me that this is a known Firefox problem for some of their customers.
Regards, RH P.S. not sure how to report on WebCompat - I am not computer lierate, what is URL for example?
This looks like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2012085 to me.
Thanks for the report - we are aware of the problem, and are working on a deeper diagnosis.
