HOW Many times do i have to put in the same information? I will try again. How do I disable the automatic upgrade feature that is being used? The asshole intelligence being use creates a situation where shortly after implementing Firefox becomes unresponsive and I have to unplug my computer and start over. This is about to the point where i am going to switch especially since those dregs at Yahoo are demanding i diosable my ad blocker9 that ain't going to happen)

Starting yesterday Mozilla Firefox makes a sound like there is a new email but there is no new email. It makes the sound about every 30+ seconds. [redacted email from community support forum]

I have not installed any new software. I have no backups or mozilla login. I've always used a single profile. My passwords disappeared from the browser. On checking the profile folder, I noticed that the key4.db file an logins file existed. So there is a reading or encryption or other problem. The logins file has data in it. LLMs told me that it was a different encryption because of a mozilla update. what do i do

All of a sudden overnight I cannot sign into one of my websites, Sam's Club to be specific. The weird thing is I CAN sign in on my iphone and ipad and laptop, but NOT on my desktop computer Windows 11, which is what I want to use to place orders. This is the only website affected, everything else works perfect. What could have happened where Firefox all of a sudden will not allow me to sign in - just keeps saying "We've hit a snag". Any advice?

When I try accessing my email on outlook.live.com using Firefox as the browser, I am now encountering verification captchas after entering the password and having to get a code sent to another device every single time, whereas using Edge as the browser I am not confronted with verification captchas or codes after entering the password. I have ensured the password is correct in both situations. Also, it is impossible to access outlook.live.com tech support from the email account when Firefox is the browser and it is possible to do so when Edge is the browser. But Firefox is in all other ways superior as a browser. What can be done to fix this issue, which has cropped up in the past few weeks?

I have used Firefox for years. Now I can load Facebook, it shows and is active but after about 30 seconds, everything goes blank. Clicking on home does not make the data appear. This started happening yesterday. I tried Microsoft Edge and have no problems so it appears to be a Firefox issue.

Tooltips show white text against white backgrounds, and are unreadable. Have tried with all extensions disabled, but still not readable.

Website Appearance set to "System"

 - have also tried "Dark"; tooltips show black against a black backgrould

Website Contrast set to "Automatic"

- have tried "Off" with no change

What do I need to do to

I just need to find my grouped tabs while using verticle tab mode...

Normally when the tabs are horizontal there is a drop down arrow.

Switch it to verticle, andf no matter where any AI has told me to click and look for them the answers have been wrong, and when searching the support center directed me to a bunch of useless articles, the top one was literally "Use AI group naming for your tabs" or w/e.

Please tell me this is a thing, or honestly Ill go back to Chrome. They've got everything on me by now anyways.

Italy as a location server was available up to November 2nd, so it can't be related to the summer's limited VPN rollout. Why this change now? I haven't changed anything on my profile, and my Forefox is up to date, so it's nothing to do with me.

Despite unsubscribing from everything in "Email Preferences" I keep getting almost daily Spam Mails from firefox@mail.mozilla.com ("Why hit pause?", "Plus up your browsing")

This is incredibly annoying. I've been using firefox peacefully since 20years and made a sync-Account a few days ago to ease my migration to linux - the syncing worked but then the Spam started...

Do I have to block the Adress to get rid of them or do I have to delete my Sync-Account?

For two separate days this week, Firefox 'updates' or something similar crashed my desktop and laptop. (Both are about 2 years old and have Ubuntu 24.04 with the latest updates.) The first crash on my desktop began with it simply stopping. It didn't respond at all. When I finally rebooted it, and opened Firefox, it was obvious that Firefox had caused the crash, because the first thing that came up was the 'Bring your friends back to Firefox' window. 'Crash' here means that I couldn't even do a warm reboot, instead I had to completely unplug my desktop, wait 30 seconds, then reboot. (The reboot took forever, however I finally managed to do it.) Also, after the latest Firefox 'update' on my laptop, every Firefox window and tab on my laptop was lost, so rest assured I'm not going to be asking anyone to use Firefox, as the recent 'Bring your friends back to Firefox' tab requests.

Note that this is a recurring problem. This is just the first time I've gotten angry enough to post about it.

Meanwhile, I'm going to search for 'reliable' browsers for Ubuntu. Firefox doesn't seem to qualify any more. (Even the bold and italic buttons in this message box don't work correctly.)

Firefox used to be a decent browser. I even contributed to it and to Thunderbird.

I also write and share software occasionally, so I understand about problems with deployed versions. I always check mine before I upload them to be certain they work as they should. I suggest that to Firefox.

I doubt that this is something that actually has an 'answer' since it seems to be a Firefox installation problem. The update process needs to be made reliable, not crash Ubuntu installations, and needs to not destroy existing windows and tabs.

I sincerely hope Firefox can do this.
