Hi last night my web browser updated and when it opened back up all the websites and everything I had saved was completing missing I’ve never had this happen before with an update usually everything is there when it finishes updating. How can I fix this?

I recently upgraded from Thunderbird 116 to 128 on Kubuntu 22.04, since then it has crashed at least once every day.

For some reason it is unable to send a crash report, instead I get the attached window pop up.

I have installed Thunderbird on a new computer, created an empty calendar and want to import the calendar backup of the old computer (ics file). After approx. 50 percent of the calendar entries (approx. 700 in total) have been imported, the import aborts with the error message “Modification_failed” The following note appears in the error message An error occurred while writing to the calendar Wolfgang! Further information can be found below. If this message is displayed after using “Reset” or “Close” for a reminder, but you do not want to add or edit any appointments for this calendar, you can mark this calendar as read-only so that this message is no longer displayed. To do this, right-click on the calendar in the calendar list of the appointment or task view and open the properties. I had switched off the reminder function in the empty calendar

I have been using Thunderbird portable on my old (Windows 10) computer for years. I have a new computer (Windows 11) and would like to bring my Thunderbird profile and history to the new computer. I have followed the directions in 'how to move Thunderbird to a new computer', but having pasted my Thunderbird profile etc folder into the designated folder (3 levels up from the profile folder that opened when I went to Troubleshoot options and selected open profile folder), when I open Thunderbird again on the new computer there is nothing there - just an empty inbox. I also wasn't prompted to replace anything (current data). Is it because I am doing 2 things - switching from the portable version to the regular app, as well as switching computers? How can I get up and running on the new computer? Any help, suggestions welcome.

I am installing Thunderbird on a new Windows laptop (not this one). After installing the app (and making a donation) Thunderbird goes into a loop and asks for yet another donation. Not very happy- been using this app on older computers for a couple of decades. Is this Microsoft being annoying and attempting to prevent use?
