Can you give a bit more information. What happens when you try to run Firefox, do you get any error messages ? Do you have icons for firefox on your desktop, and is it included in your programs listing ?
Have a look at
it gives the option to run under 'current user' or 'administrator', which are one in the same as i have no other account on my computer. when i ran 7 home premium it started up no problem. i think it has to do with administrative controls in fire because everytime i try to set the administrator account it shows that i am already, but it won't recognize my password when i'm trying to run firefox.
after that screen nothing else comes up. and when i search control panel, or start menu, nothing comes up for mozilla or firefox. it's very frustrating. i've tried chrome in the interim and don't like that near as much.
i don't have internet access everyday, so if i don't respond too quickly to any more questions i apologize.
thanks
I use XP not Windows 7, but the current user and the administrator may be subtly different. I do not use Windows 7 and can not advise but just be aware you may not necessarily see the top level administrator account easily (See for instance ---> MS link : <-- clickable link --- "Enable and Disable the Built-in Administrator Account" )
I am not certain I understand what a fire edition is, unless this is a reference to Firefox 4.
I would not expect that you would normally need a password run or use the browser Firefox 4, although you probably need a login name and a password to login to and start using your Operating System account in Windows 7. Obviously you can not start Firefox without using an Operating System - such as Windows 7. You may need a password and a login to make full use of this current forum, the Firefox Support messageboard.
Presumably at the moment you are using Internet Explorer 8, as your browser.
Have you tried reading the linked articles I mentioned in my first post, the light blue text are links, and should open ok with Internet Explorer.
