[URGENT] Request to Force Stop Email Loop & Clear Server Queue - [redacted]@leadit.co.kr

유태양

Dear Support Team / Mail Administrator, I am requesting urgent assistance to force-stop an email forwarding loop and mitigate server load caused by a misconfigured filter in Thunderbird. • Affected Account: [redacted]@leadit.co.kr

[What Happened] I accidentally set up and manually executed ("Run Now") the following two rules under the Tools > Message Filters menu in Thunderbird: • Rule 1: Forward all incoming emails to an external email address. • Rule 2: Copy/Move all outgoing emails back to my Inbox.

[Current Issue & Loop Mechanism] Although I have already disabled these filters in Thunderbird, a massive infinite loop is currently running on the server: 1. When a mail is forwarded externally (Rule 1), it is recognized as a sent email. 2. This sent email is then copied back to my Inbox (Rule 2). 3. The new email in the Inbox triggers the external forward again (Rule 1), creating an endless loop. The external email address is continuously flooded with forwarded messages, and I am highly concerned about local storage capacity issues and overall mail server overload.

[Requested Actions] Could you please urgently take the following administrative actions on the mail server? 1. Force-stop/kill any active mail processing or rules related to [redacted]@leadit.co.kr. 2. Clear the outbound mail queue for this account to stop further external forwarding. Thank you for your immediate and urgent attention to this matter.

Are you saying that your filter continues to run on the server after you shut down thunderbird and your PC? Filters run from within thunderbird, not an external server. Also, the persons who control your email server would be your email provider. You can verify this by logging onto your email account on your email provider's website.
