bitwarden is not working on some sites with original snapdragon. Getting worse as more update arrive. Bitwarden has no useful answers

Hi Brian,

Are you possibly talking about bitwarden app on Android?

Unfortunately note. I've got a MS Surface running Win11. It's be running great till recently. I've also lost the ability to use Windows Hello. I'm beginning to think the problem is MS. Thanks

Uhm, ok. I see similarity with this thread, though the other OP isn't using bitwarden, but the MS password manager.

I'm not on Windows, so there's not much I can do, but I'll ask around to see if there's possibility that something's broken on our side.

So here's what I get from someone on the product side:

I can only imagine this would be platform-independent, unless the website is doing something platform-dependent based on user agent or something. It's much more likely that there is an update of the extension and/or the affected pages breaking things than Firefox, since AIUI Bitwarden has heuristics for detecting fields to autofill based on the content of pages that constantly need to be updated.

Hope that helps!

Hi Brian,

Just wanted to follow up on this.

Another engineer shared this Bitwarden bug report with me, which he has personally experienced as well.

While we're not certain that it's the exact same issue you're encountering, it may be worth checking that you're running the latest version of Bitwarden extension and seeing whether updating it resolves the problem.

Feel free to bump the thread if you continue to experience the issue after updating.

Hi Kiki Looks like MS update on patch Tuesday resolved most of my problems. I'm convinced that the issue with Schwab.com is Bitwarden on Win11 with original Snapdragon. My x86 machine has no problem. Bitwarden has know about that exact issue for several months. Have used Firefox since I discovered Steve Gibson years ago and am sticking with it. Nice that uBlock origin still gets around Google. ads.
