Can't print in Firefox 144.0
I am unable to print after upgrade to ver 144.0 The print preview just spins. I can print these web pages using Edge. This same thing happens with new version of Thunderbird. Can't print email either. John Stark

Hi John, thank you for reporting back. I'm just guessing, but Firefox and Thunderbird might have had a transient problem reading printer parameters from the system. It would be better if they could time out after a reasonable period of time and explain the situation.
If it happens again, I would suggest trying to change to the built-in "Save as PDF" printer, either using the Destination selector on the preview overlay or preselecting it through the back door:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste print_printer and pause while the list is filtered.
If you have ever printed before, Firefox usually shows a single preference with the name of the last printer you used. If Firefox instead displays a bar with Boolean Number String, click String and the + button to create a new preference.
(3) Double-click the preference (or click the pencil button) to display an editing field, and change the value to Mozilla Save to PDF then press Enter or click the blue check mark button to save the change.

Hello
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox Have you tried, Reset Firefox printer settings, it's the same action for Thunderbird.
For information purposes.
Since Firefox 101. A new preference, print.prefer_system_dialog, was added to print using the system dialog and not the new print preview.
1 - Go to configuration editor for Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox 2 - Enter a search term print.prefer_system_dialog You can double-click on the preference to set the value to true
Since Thunderbird 102. Printing using the system dialog without preview now supported; Set print.prefer_system_dialog to true.
1 - Go to configuration editor for Thunderbird https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/config-editor 2 - Enter a search term print.prefer_system_dialog You can double-click on the preference to set the value to true

I am now able to print from Firefox, but the change you suggested does not allow me to see a preview of the page I am printing. Wo, I am not able to adjust the print. John
I did not make any changes to Thunderbird, but now it works. I put the print.prefer_system_dialog back to FALSE. Now printing on Firefox work like it did before. John

Hello
Apparently, you have not responded to the first suggestion, reset printer settings, so, let me ask you a question. First action, did you have tried (to see if) by way of illustration, Reset Firefox printer settings.
