Allowing pop-ups on my Android phone
I have some websites that require pop-ups. I cannot get them to work in Firefox on my Android phone. Google searches reference a setting under "privacy and security" where I should be able to allow pop-ups in general or for certain URLs only, but I don't have that setting option.
I have Firefox version 139.4 if that helps.
Thanks in advance, Paul

Hi Paul,
I believe the setting under Privacy and Secrurity only applies in Firefox desktop. Can you try to see if disabling the Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for Android would help?
Kiki, it still behaves the same way. I get a message asking if I will Deny or Allow the page to load, I answer Allow, the page doesn't load.
I only have this problem with Firefox. Edge and Chrome work fine.
Do you mind sharing the URL with me so I can check?
Unfortunately, all sites that reports can be created require logging into an admin portal. I can't give out the login credentials.
I do have an update for you, though. One of my sites will display the report right away. Another one displays it after the Deny/Allow msgbox, so now I am wondering if there are site-specic settings related to this.
Have you installed any adblocker addons? I honestly have ran out of idea why this could happen since I can't reproduce on my end.
Kiki,
If I had an adBlocker installed, wouldn't that affect every website I go to using Firefox? Look at my last response. I can successfully do this from two other sites.
An ad-blocker may block specific type of pop up, depending on the technology that the website is using. One can use the same web standard and the other one can use a non standard one.
But anyway, I also notice that you're on version 139.0.4. Can you update to the latest one (140.0.3 to see if it may help?
I have several websites that are all using the same technology on the same hosting pkatgiem including the same way to produce reports and make them visible.
Sorry "platform" not "pkatgiem"!!
Hi Paul,
Are you trying to build the website yourself? If this is more like a developer question, you may want to explore the Mozilla Developer Network site that has more resources around web technologies.
I just want to know why I am unable to view a web page using Firefox on my phone. It works fine on my PC, as well as on another website I developed utilizing the same methodology.
If you're building a website, the web console might give you more useful information as to what went wrong.
Wha is a web console? I have several websites that all have the capability to produce and display reports. Something is wrong with one of them where I don't get a popped up report. What do I need to look at to make that happen?
Hi Paul
What level of Enhanced Tracking Protection do you have set in Firefox for Android?
It would also be handy to know what add-ons (if any) that you have installed in Firefox for Android.
Sonce some of my websites work correctly, it must be a setting that only impacts one site. So I need to know what settings can be made site-soecific.
Enhanced Tracking protection can be set on a per-site basis. This support article might help:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-android
I just checked and Enhanced Tracking Protection was already off. So there must be another thing out of place.
Another update. This problem seems to only occur on my websites that aren't utilizing a certificate. So sites http://www.yaddy-yaddy.com will not allow pop-ups reports while https://www.yaddy-yaddy.com will.
