Emails sent have messed up formatting
People receiving my emails see the formatting all messed up. It looks the worst on mobile, but it's also pretty weird when reading emails I sent from desktop.

When you say the formatting is messed up, do you mean that words wrap at about 72 characters? If the answer is yes, then the following methods might be helpful:

When composing a plain text message, wrapping can be set to the window width by changing mailnews.wraplength to 0 (zero) in Settings/General, Config. editor.

"Settings" > "Composition" > "Sending Format" > change from "Automatic" to "Both HTML and Plain Text".
