Can I add more than one notification to a calendar event like in Google?

I have added my calendar to Thunderbird and it is syncing with Google but when I add a new event it only allows me to set one notification time. I have a standard notification of 30 minutes before something happens and in Google I can add additional notifications like a day before or a week before. I don't see that I can do that when I create the event in Thunderbird. Need to create all of my calendar events in my Google calendar?

Select Custom... in the Reminders box (see picture).
