All of my addons are disabled and won't re-enable!
They all say "addon name" could not be verified for use in Nightly and has been disabled. See attachment clipboard00.jpg
If I try to install an addon from the recommended extensions settings (for example "return youtube dislike ") I get a message bubble stating "The Addon downloaded from this site could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt. {OK!}" See attachment clipboard01.jpg
The message above about addons appearing to be corrupt happens if I go to any of my current addon pages and try to redownload them.
Chosen solution
My Windows 7 is 64 bit, not 32 bit and the "random old version of nightly" I'm using has given me no trouble so far (other than deciding arbitrarily that it didn't like my addons anymore).
I'm going to ghost my system drive, store it on external HDD, as I always do and call it quits rather than fiddle further. My firefox profile is 12 or more years old at this point and its way too much unnecessary hassle to go changing things that don't need changing (regardless of what some PC security "expert" might think). I've been building PC's since 1996.
I starting using Nightly way back when because it could do things proper release builds of Firefox could not btw. It wasn't just random that I chose to use it.

Hmm you say you are using Nightly and in your More system details you say you have a rather old random nightly build of Firefox 115.0a1. It is old as Firefox 138.0a1 is currently on the Nightly development channel.
Firefox 116.0 and later requires Windows 10, 11 to run.
With Windows 7, 8, 8.1 the most current you can run is Firefox 115 ESR. It is currently at 115.21.0esr and will be updated to 115.27.0esr in August unless Mozilla extends for a third time. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support
The issue is if you are indeed using a random old Nightly build of 115.0a1 then this is why your Extensions are now disabled. You need at least 115.13.0esr (115.thirteen.0esr) or newer (like 115.21.0esr) to not have extensions be disabled.
Firefox Setup 115.21.0esr.exe https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win64/en-US/ other language folders at https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win64/
Or if your Windows 7 system is 32-bit then see https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win32/
This knowledge base article explains why your extensions were disabled. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/root-certificate-expiration

Can't update past my current version since you no longer support windows 7 (which still works perfectly fine and I'd love to know why support was cut off - never once had a virus or ad/malware on this system) past that point, so I turned off firefox's ability to update a long time back.
Anyhow was working fine last night and the addons quit working today. I just want my addons working properly again. I don't give a damn if firefox thinks they are out of date or not.

You can as I just gave you the information on the current version of Firefox you can run on Windows 7 which is Firefox 115.21.0esr released on March 4th, 2025. So you can update as you need to install the setup as it will not do an internal Firefox update.
https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/115.21.0/system-requirements/ Windows 7, 8, 8.1
It is not the Extensions that are outdated as the extensions were disabled due to you using a older version of Firefox which was a random old Nightly channel build from back when it was at 115.0a1 (from around May 2023) instead of the current Firefox 115 ESR.
You cannot expect Mozilla to keep supporting old eol OS's forever as there is a point they have to well stop. They are however still supporting the eol Windows 7, 8, 8,1 with Firefox 115 ESR. Every other web browser based on Chrome/Chromium already dropped support of Windows 7, 8, 8.1 back in Jan/Feb 2023.

I use the Duck Duck Go privacy extension on Linux, and have this problem on FF 136.0 and 120.0.1.

Firefox 136:
This should be fine as long as it's a DuckDuckGo Privacy extension signed in the past 12 months. To check for extension updates, see: How to update add-ons. If that doesn't work, could you start a new question?
Regarding disabled extensions: if you updated that installation to Firefox 136 from a version older than 128 within the past 24 hours:
There is a date-time value in the prefs.js file (editable through about:config) which determines the time when Firefox next tries to re-verify your extensions. You may need to reset that value so Firefox doesn't wait until tomorrow. Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste xpi-signature-verification and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Click the trash can at the right end of the row for the app.update.lastUpdateTime.xpi-signature-verification preference to remove this preference
(3) Do a normal exit/restart of Firefox, and within about a minute Firefox should reverify your extensions
Firefox 120:
You can update to the Extended Support Release of Firefox 128 or to the current 136.0.1 release.
Thanks to the post above I got some clues about where to search in about:config and was able to defeat this dictatorial bullshit from Mozilla.
find the settings highlighted in red boxes and set them as I have if you are experiencing this nonsense.
Are you on the latest in the Extended Support Release series of Firefox 115 now? That has the latest security patches for Windows 7 users. It also has the new certificate.
No, I blocked Nightly's ability to update itself long ago (in about:config, don't remember how now) when Mozilla first announced they were abandoning Windows 7.
Can it be downloaded standalone? Does it nag to update to windows 10 or any other nonsense?
I run ublock origin as a plugin along with several other security oriented addons plus I run Tinywall on the PC as well - https://tinywall.pados.hu/

They stopped supporting Windows 7, 8, 8.1 as of 116.0 and later so you could have used the Firefox 115 ESR this whole time instead of that old random 115.0a1 Nightly channel build.
The Firefox 115 ESR is being updated with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 OS users in mind. It will not nag you to update to Windows 10, 11 nor will it try to update to Firefox 128 ESR since Windows 7, 8, 8.1 is not supported on that version.
You have two options to download the full offline setup of Firefox 115.21.0esr
You can go to below links and pick your language. Then click on the [Download ESR 115] button to get served Firefox Setup 115.21.0esr.exe 64-bit: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/desktop-esr/win64/ 32-bit: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/desktop-esr/win/
Or as I posted earlier there are these links. Firefox Setup 115.21.0esr.exe https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win64/en-US/ other language folders at https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win64/
Or if your Windows 7 system is 32-bit then see https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win32/
To show Mozilla are only supporting Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 OS with Firefox 115.0 ESR since 115.16.0esr as 115 ESR was originally planned to end at 115.15.0esr. https://whattrainisitnow.com/release/?version=esr
We decided to extend support for ESR 115 only on Windows 7-8.1 and macOS 10.12-10.14 up to September 2025. We will re-evaluate this decision in August 2025 and announce any updates on ESR 115's end-of-life then.
