Mac user since '84.. Due to ISP 'upgrade of email server' I was forced to give up Eudora, the best email client ever made which I used since 1994, and now I'm stuck using Thunderbird, which is a clumsy piece of garbage barely better than all the other garbage email clients I tried.

Now after 4 mths use, all of a sudden a T-bird "archive" holding months of important email suddenly disappeared. I can restore from Time machine but that would erase the work I spent all morning writing as well as the text and graphic files I downloaded since the last backup.

Any ideas as to how I can keep this garbage application from Mozilla from erasing archived email in the future?

Thanks.... T77

Why not just switch to Mailbird, as it support Mac? Life is short, and trying to learn to manage Thunderbird is not something on your priority list. Or are you just using Thunderbird because it's free?
