Can receive, but not send emails. Message could not be sent because the Outgoing Server was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.

Hi, Hopefully someone can help me. I can receive emails to my exemail.com.au email account no problems. But I cannot send emails from that account using Thunderbird. I can send and receive just fine using my phone. I have been through tech support at Exetel, and they have confirmed that everything looks right as far as they are concerned, and they told me to contact Mozilla to see if there is something else I can try. Attached is a screenshot of my smtp settings. An error pops up when I try to send an email. It says that the message could not be sent because the Outgoing Server was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.

Thankyou. I'm not sure what I did, but it seems to be fixed now.

Replied to add images that didn't upload the 1st time.

Try setting your smtp server to port 465. Or 587 if 465 does not work.
