i searched for an app in the online windows store and the online store redirected me to the MS 2-3 times and from that onwards its poping open whenever i open firefox.
Microsoft really likes owning your computer. Suggest look online for the program before turning to MS Store. Once Finished, log out.
You will need to follow this to block Firefox from open Windows Store Links To change the behavior, do the following:
1. Type about:config in the browser's address bar and hit enter. 2. Confirm that you will be careful if a warning appears. 2. Search for network.protocol-handler.external.ms-windows-store . This preference determines whether the Store application is opened when you click on Windows Store links. 4. Double-click on it to set it to false. This prevents Store links from opening the Windows Store application. 5. To reset the preference, simply double-click again so that its value is set to true.
Am hoping this changes the behaviour but you will have to remember this to reverse it if want to use Firefox to go to the Windows Store. If do not then use Edge to go.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
