How to disable Firefox trying to load dragged text as a URL

I often have to drag sections of text into a form on a webpage. That's fine. If I'm a bit clumsy and drag the text onto the body of the page rather than a form area then Firefox seems to try to load the text as if it was a URL - I get a "Hmm. That address doesn’t look right." response. If this happens I lose all the information I've already entered on the form.

I want to be able to continue dragging text to fill the form but I can't see any use at all for text dropped onto the page body being treated as if it's a URL. Is there some way of disabling this?
