I can provide console logs and all that are up to date. But I don't understand most of what the logs say or what they are supposed to display. Any help is appreciated.

I'll link to the console logs here:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u9xdjduxspa6arr/AABzdno2jEW071HO84Dwleiha?dl=0

I'll use this link for all of the files anyone needs (logs, pictures, etc.)

My router is a Netgear WNR2000v5 with the latest firmware update.

Are you using any kind of blocking programs/add-ons?

Use this link to check that your plugins are up-to-date. If any are listed as unknown or research, do not worry about them.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

So you cannot login at https://www.twitch.tv/login with Firefox 47.0 ?

That is correct. I suspect it's a problem with my machine rather than firefox but I'm running through my options (it's why i'm talking to you guys)

Fireforx v39 on my laptop works as expected. I get the login prompt and can login no problem.

Problem still exists. Would you like the console logs from the safe mode session?

I'm sure the logs could be filtered down so, let me know if you'd like me to not include some elements (network, css, js, etc.)

But I'll include links to the full logs here:

I really appreciate the help, fellas.

EDIT: This link will also be where I'll post any logs or pictures related to this problem.

Update: I can watch twitch streams but after a short time (20-45 min) the video stops completely. Firefox freezes. And I have to force close with task manager. I've only tried this in full screen a few moments ago. Will try not in full screen shortly.

I'll keep you posted.

Can you provide a public link to the page so we can check it out?

Yeah. Let me figure out how to do that, lol

I'm not sure how to make a public link to my dropbox. Anyone can view the files in that folder but I'm not sure where the option to make the link public is. Can you explain a bit more?

I meant the link to Twitch Tv

Oops, never mind: https://www.twitch.tv/ The login comes up for me.

Make sure your Java (Not JavaScript) is up to date Verify Java and Find Out-of-Date Versions {web link}

Version 8 Update 91 Release date April 19, 2016 http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

No need to install the Java Plugin.

Twitch.tv has never needed the Java Plugin to work. The chat and player controls are HTML5 for a year now and the video in player is either Flash Player or more recently HTML5 depending on browser and how you are viewing stream player link.

Pretty sure it uses flash because that's the plugin that gets loaded when i go to the page.

So I take it you are using separate Profiles with Firefox 39.0 and 47.0 ?

I wonder if the Adblock extension may be affecting the login popup or login page.

I suppose I'm using separate profiles. I haven't set up different profiles using either version but I am using Adblock on both machines.

Load the web page. After the page is loaded, click the down arrow next to the AdBlock icon. Now select Disable on <website>.

Good news! I fixed it. Turns out I had some net services that were disabled.
