Unable to communicate to OUR sign-up server
Whenever I open the installed Thunderbird I get the message "Sorry - we're unable to communicate with our sign-up server. Please check your connection" yet I am properly connected. What should I do?

Can you post a screenshot of the error? http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem
Hi Christ1, Here is the screenshot of what I see every time I try to log on. I am on my Gmail account for sending this email to you, not on Outlook, or any other local email application, so my link to the Internet is working fine. Looking forward to your suggestion on how to solve this problem.

Simply press 'Skip this'. Did you set up any accounts at all yet?
Thank you for your suggestion, but it does not solve my problem. Please see the attached images for a documentation of the steps I have taken to try to resolve my problem. I am still not able to connects.
Your assistance will be appreciated.

One of your screenshots looks like you've been trying to set up a news account, but I guess this isn't what you want.
When using 'OAuth2' authentication Thunderbird will prompt you for your Gmail password. Don't try any application specific password in that case.
