Consulted your FAQs; used "Customize" 1. Will not let me DELETE the hated "ebay" button at the far right of my tool bar. I HATE ebay. Do not EVER want to even see the term "ebay" for the rest of my life! How do I remove the hated "ebay" button? 2. The "Bookmarks Toolbar" is useless and cannot be modified apparently. Tried the "Customize" routine. Some of these things are so OLD and useless they are now irritating to view continually so I keep the toolbar hidden. So, your toolbar is quite useless. How do I modify the toolbar? Delete all the history? Pretty stupid if that is the case....

Go to about:addons and see if there is an eBay addon. If it is a bookmark, open the bookmarks library (Ctr-B) and delete it.

A little more information on investigating an unwanted add-on: you also can open the Add-ons page using either:

  • Command+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, I suggest disabling all non-essential or unrecognized extensions. You also could remove any you are sure you don't need.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Regarding the Bookmarks Toolbar, in what way do you want to modify it?
