I have di/scovered websites that take capture the tab in which they are opened, freeze access to the menu options (view, tools, etc.), and do no allow Firefox to close. Shutting down the computer and reopening doesn't free the captured page. The following sites are all suspect:

http://www.health4reporter.org/ http://www.health11online.org/ http://www.daily10reports.com/ http://www.daily10reports.org/ http://www.daily5reports.org/ http://www.daily12reports.com/ http://www.theweightlossspecialist.com/ http://www.daily8online.org

I personally confirmed that the last, http://www.daily8online.org, is malicious. The others I have not confirmed, but they all came from the same source, comments posted to a blog at KittyKroger.com.

I was able to clear the browser only by going to the reset that puts Firefox to its default settings.

Hello,

You can report these links to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center:

You can also report web forgeries by going to:

  • Help (or New Fx Menu > Help-29) > Report Web Forgery

Be careful browsing suspicious sites.

disallow Script Button {web link} The Disallow Script button looks like a letter "M" and the title is the Minus Script, drag and drop the button on a toolbar. If the button is not displayed then nothing operates, except rules for plugins.

This once happen to me before this add-on was created. This is what I did. I forced closed Firefox. Then, I used the Open New Window from the FF icon. Note; If there is another tab / window open, switch to it. Then close FF.
